Title: Diagnosing colon & rectal cancer

“I went into his office, they did blood work. You know, it was kind of expected to be just a routine thing.

And he puts the scope in and, uh, there’s this big tumor. And I looked at the doctor and he’s like turned pale and the other people in the room were nurses that I knew and, you know, and everybody’s just like speechless.

And everybody was in the room; they were just blown away because nobody was expecting anything like that.

So, um when he started talking about that and he saw me get upset. I mean he immediately went over and grabbed a stool and sat down and came over here next to me and put his hand on my hand, and he started talking to me, and said, you’re not going to… you know, you’re likely not going to die from this. You can get through this. And the compassion that he showed and the positiveness in his attitude, you know, that was huge. That was everything that day. And I won’t ever forget it.”
