Fighting each stage of colorectal cancer and going through chemotherapy treatment
is a tough battle, says Vicki, but a worthwhile one.

“It was surprising to me, I went to a patient conference, and everyone there was
Stage III and IV survivors and they polled the patients and said – after going through
chemo, everybody in there had been through chemo, and they said, ‘If it would extend
your life for a month, would you do it?’ And 75 percent of the patients there said
yes.
The medical team – my surgeon, the oncologists and the nurses, they were the ones
that guided me and helped by giving me the information that I needed to help choose
the right path in battling this disease.”
